Sir Clippy (and 2 friends!) arrived today and i am beyond thrilled that now i get to wear him everywhere. (Holding securely onto my thin, soft hair!) I look forward to nods of recognition as well as a wtf or two. Sometimes all we need is a paperclip to help us on our way.
My husband's Ph.D. research was used to develop Clippy. This was a source of embarrassment for him for many years.; the youngs may not know how HATED Clippy was back in the day. But time does its magic, and people now view Clippy with love and nostalgia! I am so happy to wear this gorgeous, luminous, multifaceted item in my now-graying tresses. The colors are luscious and dimensional, and it's clearly SO much stronger than cheap clips one buys elsewhere that always break in thick hair like mine. Hooray for second acts!
I was specifically looking for a Clippy hair clip for some time (as one does) and this is everything I wanted! Really well made, works perfectly even on thick hair. A must-have for all Clippy enthusiasts!
Shockingly sturdy for a claw clip!! Makes an excellent conversation starter and quick way to figure out who you vibe with in the work place. Caution: this clip created visceral reactions in multiple people I encountered. It seemed to unlocked some core memory that stopped them in their tracks and complete strangers felt the need to ell me their memory is or clippy in the parking garage elevator or sidewalk. Not a bad thing, just unexpected. The clip also fits perfectly on the strap of my work bag making it a cute accessory on the go!
